This section of the site is devoted to a series of articles that were first published in the Crewe Chronicle beginning early in the year 2004.  The series celebrated voluntary organisations in the community and was aimed at showing how you can help them to make a difference by volunteering.

The groups featured in the series range from the very small local organisations to branches of the larger National organisations; but they all share common needs.  They rely on donations from the public for financial support and also rely on volunteers for personnel requirements.

It is hoped that by publishing these articles again, on the web, we can give the residents of our community a greater understanding and insight to these local voluntary organisations.  Specifically the work they do and how you can help them to improve conditions in your community.

Please bear in mind that these articles have been reproduced as they were first written, over twelve months ago.  Some of the information presented in future tense will now be past tense and contact details can also change.  The CVS is currently updating its database of local organisations so, if you have any problems contacting people mentioned in the articles, call the CVS on 01270 211545.

If your organisations details are incorrect please contact the Webmaster
